I Just Reached my 500th Hub on HubPages!

I never thought I would hit 500!
WOW! I am rather excited, as I just reached my 500th hub on HubPages! This is a big deal to me, because I never thought that I would see the day that that would happen!
Over three years ago, a dear friend of mine told me about HubPages, and they had written a beautiful hub. I had to come and see it, and I was so impressed from day one. Even though I enjoy writing very much, I thought it would be a bit too techy for me to join in and do for some reason. I was more of a writer, not someone who worked on creating a site moving things around, creating a text box with editors, etc.
Some three years later, nothing could be easier for me! I mean in terms of how user friendly HubPages is. One thing I do have to share, with others who may be truly wondering.... Can you make money on this site? Well the answer is yes. Admittedly, I have not made a lot of money, but I consistently make a little bit of money which over time turns into those 50.00 amounts which goes to my PayPal. My family is impressed, and somewhat surprised. They were very skeptical at first, even after two years they were.
If your goal is to make some money with HubPages, make sure you join up with the Ad Program here, so that you get money from that as well as from Google. Even a little bit every single day, adds up over time. You have something to share, no matter WHAT your experiences are.
No matter what your history or future is, YOU have a story to tell. You have unique experiences and points of view to share. Someone else out there will likely want to read about that. People are going to search things on Google and other search engines, why not have a hub in place so that you get that "click?"
There are so many on HubPages that have made a fair amount of money, and it is really rather impressive. I am thankful to HubPages for the opportunity to write here and with with them and other advertisers. Its a great system and mutually beneficial to all, so a win win situation. I hope to be here for a long time.
To any that may be discouraged, don't give up. Don't think about great numbers right now. Think of just doing one hub, the next hub. Move forward, do little bits every day. Find what times of day are the best for writing, for you personally. There are so many cool people on HubPages, many friends to be made, and more than enough to learn.
Thank you to all my HubPage friends. I have learned so much from you, and the world and universe is a more amazing place than I even knew it already was. Here are to many many more hubs with many old and new friends on HubPages!

Congratulations on your milestone. 500 hubs is quite the achievement! That's great advice to just work on one day, one hub at a time. It makes those big numbers, like 500, much more manageable.

You are certainly consistent with your writing, and you always do interesting and beautiful Hubs that are a pleasure to read. I try and do 2 a week, if possible. Your poll is interesting, too. Congratulations! I joined hubpages 2 years ago but only just came back after more than a year away. I love all the info you posted here. It makes me WANT to write more hubs! I want to be you when I grow up. lol

Congratulations on reaching 500 hubs. I don't write the same number of hubs every month, but I generally write more than one a week. I figure if I keep up this pace it will take me until my third year to reach 500 hubs, but I have a lot of time now that I may not have later, so I might never reach 500 hubs - Or it might take 5 years.

Wow! That is an amazing feat and many congratulations! I like the encouragement you give in your hub as well, especially to folks that are new to Hub Pages. Hearing your story will be a great motivator and inspiration for them as well as for hubbers who have been around a while longer.

Congratulations! I am just about to start my 5th year at this site and have enjoyed it so much. My goal this year is to reach 400 quality hubs. I am also going back through my 335 hubs published to date to clean them up, change tags and add headings, etc. There is always room for improvement.

Hi Flora, I hear you. Time gets away sometimes, and I tend to go in spurts here on Hubpages. Even just focusing on the one at a time, eventually got me to where I am now. Also, sometimes I think its not so much the number, as the quality of hubs that matter to more people over time, overall.
