Hot Air Balloons in Different Artistic Mediums - A Gallery
Hot air balloons hold so much fascination. I have always loved them, though have yet to travel on one myself. This does not keep me from enjoying them when I do see them, or of almost having one crash into my home once!
Quite by accident, I came upon some very beautiful and or interesting paintings of such balloons. Some have a lot of feeling, some are just fun and whimsical. All are so unique. I just had to share, and it caused me to go on search for more images.
What I found surprised me and delighted me both. I hope that you enjoy viewing what I think are works of art. I had never seen these before, and hope that some at least are new to you as well.
Underneath each photo I will credit the creator of the art, and as time permits, I hope to learn more about each piece. One can't help but wonder the stories behind each of these paintings, or at least that is true of me.
In the first painting, I immediately noticed the clouds soon after my eye went to the balloon first. I cannot express how much I love this piece. It is just an amazing piece of art, and I so want t know what was going on in the mind of the artist that painted this. (If that image didn't load, or took a long time to load for your computer, please let me know and I will make it smaller. Thank you.)
In the example of the piece at the very bottom, "The Lost Balloon," I am so curious what happened, or what inspired that piece. I know it is huge, and I hope it doesn't slow down anyone's computer just to load the page, but I wanted to show it in the best way I could so we all could see it.
If you don't mind, do share which one you like the most, as I am curious. I love art so much, and have tried to share some of my favorite things over time. Often, what is a joy or a favorite to me, is not the favorite of others! That should go without saying, as we are all so different. The benefit to that kind of discussion however, is that we can sometimes take a second or third look at what others like, and see it anew.
I hope you enjoy the paintings here of these large balloons, by different artists. Thank you for stopping by. If you would like to see the smaller ones a bit larger, just click on those.
